Maykus Custom Homes is a fourth generation home building firm. Our approach is focused on customer service, quality construction, and value. We are a small firm, but we use various systems to give our customers the value of a larger company while maintaining a very personal touch.
Customer service is very important to us. We want you to be happy. When building your home, you will receive regular communication from us concerning your home. We have a talented decorator who will guide you with the various selections and items which make this YOUR home. We have an accountant in house to constantly maintain budgets and keep you aware of YOUR home’s budget. We recognize this is YOUR home. Our goal is for you to have a home with style, a home that performs at a high level, and a home which has lasting value. When your home is finished we will be there. Our family has been building homes for over 50 years here in North Texas.
Quality construction are words used by many. We take these words very seriously. We use high quality materials that are constantly evaluated for there effectiveness. We are using extensive high performance techniques to create homes which perform at amazing levels. These techniques are allowing our customers to live in expansive and beautiful homes that perform like modest bungalows. Many of our finishing contractors have worked with us for over 20 years. We believe that high performance and quality finishes are not mutually exclusive.
Value is achieved using a comprehensive job costing system. Every item in our homes is evaluated for its “cost benefit”. It is not our intent to use trendy products, but to properly evaluate the effectiveness of the various components in our homes to achieve a great look and great performance. As an example, every one of our staff has achieved the designation of “Certified Green Professional”. This designation required each of us to attend education and pass a proficiency test to receive this designation as given by the National Association of Homebuilders. This has allowed us to properly navigate all the information concerning green building and high performance and create what we believe to be the most cost effective strategy to use in our homes concerning energy efficiency and high performance.
